Super Falcons goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie has completed her move to English Women's Super League (WSL) club Brighton & Hove Albion, expressing her determination to achieve significant success with her new team.
Brighton officially announced the signing on Friday, confirming that the 24-year-old Nigerian international has joined the Seagulls on a free transfer after concluding her five-year stint with French club Paris FC.
Speaking about her ambitions with the club, Nnadozie stated: "I want to win trophies, to win games, but most importantly, to help the team achieve great things." The statement was shared through Brighton's official social media channels, highlighting her commitment to bringing success to her new club.
The former Rivers Angels goalkeeper has established herself as one of Africa's premier shot-stoppers during her time in France, where she earned numerous accolades including being named in the French Feminine Team of the Season. She also played a crucial role in Paris FC's Coupe de France Feminine triumph.
Nnadozie is currently with the Super Falcons squad as they prepare for the upcoming 2024 Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), where Nigeria will be aiming to reclaim the continental title.
Her move to the WSL represents another significant step for Nigerian women's football, as she joins the growing contingent of Super Falcons players competing in top European leagues.
