Paris FC sporting director Francois Ferracci has expressed delight over the acquisition of Nigerian international Moses Simon, describing him as a "priority signing" for the club.

The Ligue 1 outfit officially announced Simon's signing on Wednesday, with the 29-year-old winger penning a three-year contract after leaving Nantes where he spent six successful seasons.

Ferracci highlighted that Simon chose Paris FC despite receiving offers from more established clubs, demonstrating his belief in the team's project.

"We are delighted to welcome Moses. He was a priority recruit for us, and he showed genuine interest in our project despite the numerous requests. He will make us more efficient in many areas," Ferracci told the club's official website.

Simon's Impressive Record at Nantes

During his six-year stint at Nantes, Simon established himself as a key player, scoring 37 goals and providing 42 assists in 201 appearances. His experience and productivity are expected to significantly boost Paris FC's attacking options in the upcoming season.

The move marks a historic moment as Simon becomes the first Nigerian player to sign for Paris FC, adding another chapter to his professional career in French football.

Prior to finalizing the deal, Simon had completed his medical examinations and bid farewell to Nantes, where he had become a fan favorite over the years.

This transfer comes shortly after Paris FC announced the departure of another Nigerian international, goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie, highlighting the club's continued interest in Nigerian talent.
