Manchester United legend Gary Pallister has cast doubt on Victor Osimhen's suitability for the club, citing concerns about the Nigerian striker's decision to join Galatasaray on loan last summer despite interest from several top European clubs.

"I've not seen an awful lot of Osimhen, to be honest with you. It was a strange one, him going to Galatasaray, but he's scoring goals," Pallister told reporters. "So many clubs were interested in taking him, but he ended up going there. That concerns me."

The Super Eagles striker had been linked with Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester United, and Arsenal during the previous transfer window. However, he ultimately joined Turkish side Galatasaray on loan after Napoli boss Antonio Conte reportedly preferred Romelu Lukaku to lead his attack.

Current Transfer Situation

According to recent reports from Europe, Osimhen is currently being pursued by Galatasaray for a permanent deal, while Saudi Pro League club Al Hilal has also expressed serious interest in acquiring the Nigerian international.

Meanwhile, Manchester United appears to be shifting their focus toward Sporting CP striker Victor Gyökeres, who has reportedly informed the Portuguese club of his desire to leave this summer.

Osimhen's situation highlights the complex nature of high-profile transfers, with the 25-year-old seemingly caught between European ambitions and lucrative offers from emerging football markets.

Despite Pallister's reservations, Osimhen has maintained impressive form at Galatasaray, continuing to attract attention from clubs across Europe with his goal-scoring prowess.
