Former Super Eagles captain, Austin Jay-Jay Okocha, has advised striker Victor Osimhen to take full responsibility for his next career move as transfer speculation continues to mount around the Nigerian international.

Osimhen, 26, is widely expected to leave Napoli permanently this summer following a successful loan spell at Turkish giants Galatasaray, where he clinched both the league title and League Cup while also securing the Golden Boot award.

"The decision should be his. Whether it goes well or not, he must own it," Okocha told Sport 247. "I don't believe in deciding someone's future. He should choose what's best for him and his family."

The striker has reportedly rejected several lucrative offers from Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal, indicating his preference to continue his career in Europe. This comes after his impressive performance in Turkey has attracted interest from multiple clubs.

Osimhen's situation has become increasingly complex with Galatasaray reportedly issuing an ultimatum regarding his future, while speculation continues about which European clubs might be preparing offers for the Nigerian star.

Okocha's advice comes at a critical time in Osimhen's career, with the forward facing what could be one of the most significant decisions of his professional journey.
