Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen is reportedly demanding at least €60 million to sign permanently with Turkish champions Galatasaray, according to football commentator Murat Aşık.
Aşık made this revelation while discussing Galatasaray's transfer plans for the 26-year-old Nigerian international, whose successful loan spell with the club recently concluded.
"Galatasaray has prepared 25 million Euros for Victor Osimhen. Koulibaly, a stopper player at Al Hilal, earns 35 million Euros annually," Aşık stated. "Osimhen also wants a salary of at least 60 million Euros. This is a professional job."
The commentator further advised Galatasaray supporters to be understanding if the club fails to secure Osimhen's signature this summer transfer window. "If he leaves, Galatasaray fans should not say anything," he added.
Osimhen Requests More Time
Meanwhile, Osimhen has reportedly asked Galatasaray President Abdullah Kavukcu for additional time to consider his future. The striker is yet to decide which club he will represent next season following the end of his loan spell in Turkey.
Osimhen's impressive performances in Turkey have attracted interest from several European clubs, potentially complicating Galatasaray's efforts to secure him on a permanent basis, especially considering the significant financial demands involved.
The Nigerian forward recently scooped the Goal of the Season award in Turkey, further highlighting his impact during his time with Galatasaray.
For Nigerian football fans, Osimhen's next move will be closely watched as he continues to establish himself as one of Africa's premier footballers on the global stage.
