Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen has reportedly set specific conditions for his potential stay at Turkish giants Galatasaray, according to club insider Ali Naci Küçük.
Küçük revealed that one of Osimhen's key demands has already influenced the club's transfer strategy, leading to the signing of German international Leroy Sané from Bayern Munich.
Speaking to Futbol Arena Youtube channel, Küçük stated that Osimhen would only consider remaining at the Super Lig champions if they "build a solid team" by bringing in new top stars.
"When Icardi signed for Galatasaray, he said, 'If we are going to build a strong team, I will stay.' Osimhen used the same sentence," Küçük explained.
Sané Deal Part of Strategy to Keep Osimhen
Sané is set to join Galatasaray after his contract with Bayern Munich expires on June 30. The former Manchester City star has reportedly agreed to a three-year deal with a net salary of €9 million per season and a €3 million loyalty bonus.
Galatasaray is eager to retain Osimhen following his impressive loan spell, during which he netted 37 goals and provided eight assists in 41 appearances.
The Turkish club has reportedly offered the Nigerian international €14 million plus bonuses in wages, which the former African Footballer of the Year is currently considering.
Osimhen in No Rush to Decide
Despite Galatasaray's eagerness to secure his signature, Osimhen appears to be taking his time with the decision.
"Galatasaray is in a hurry, but Osimhen is not. The player needs to be treated with understanding," Küçük advised, urging fans and media to respect the striker's decision-making process.
The Nigerian striker has attracted interest from several European clubs, including Chelsea and Manchester United, following his stellar performances in Turkey.
Osimhen's potential stay at Galatasaray would be a significant boost for the club as they look to defend their Super Lig title and make an impact in European competitions next season.
