Barcelona manager Hansi Flick has reportedly set his sights on Nigerian international Ademola Lookman, adding the Atalanta forward to his list of potential transfer targets for the summer window.

The 27-year-old Nigerian star has been in impressive form since joining the Serie A club from RB Leipzig three years ago, recording 52 goals and providing 25 assists in 118 appearances for Atalanta.

Lookman's stock rose significantly last year when he netted a memorable hat-trick against Bayer Leverkusen in the Europa League final, helping Atalanta secure the prestigious trophy.

Growing Interest from European Giants

With his current contract set to expire next year, Lookman has attracted attention from several top European clubs. Premier League sides Chelsea, Manchester United, Arsenal, and Nottingham Forest have all shown interest, alongside Spanish giants Atletico Madrid and Barcelona.

However, Barcelona appears to be stepping up their pursuit of the Nigerian forward. According to reports, Flick has specifically informed the Barcelona board of his desire to bring Lookman to Camp Nou ahead of the new season.

Substantial Price Tag

Atalanta is reportedly not willing to let their star player leave cheaply, with the Italian club setting an asking price of approximately €60 million for the Nigerian international.

This potential move comes at a time when several Nigerian players, including Lookman, are being linked with transfers to bigger clubs following impressive performances both at club level and on the international stage.

Lookman, who switched his international allegiance from England to Nigeria, has previously credited this decision as a career-changing move that has helped elevate his profile in European football.

Barcelona fans will be watching closely as Flick attempts to reshape the squad in his first transfer window as manager of the Catalan club.
