Nigerian international Victor Osimhen has set his sights on completing a domestic double with Galatasaray after helping the Turkish giants secure their 19th Turkish Cup title on Wednesday night.

The striker was instrumental in Galatasaray's commanding 3-0 victory over Trabzonspor in the final held at Gaziantep Stadium, scoring two goals to cement his status as the team's talisman this season.

Speaking after the match, Osimhen expressed gratitude to the fans while emphasizing the team's focus on their remaining objective. "We want to thank the fans very much. They were incredible from the first minute to the last minute. It was really exciting. We were fighting for three cups. But we were left out in one. We managed to get this," he told the club's official website.

The Yellow and Reds now turn their attention to the Turkish Super Lig, where they are on the verge of winning their third consecutive title. Galatasaray needs just one point from their final match against Kayserispor on Sunday to secure the championship.

"We will fight for the fifth star on Sunday. We can say it is ninety percent, but we have to say there is one last match left," Osimhen added, referring to the star that will be added to Galatasaray's crest if they win their 20th league title.

The Nigerian forward has been in phenomenal form since joining Galatasaray, having scored an impressive 35 goals across all competitions this season. His double in the cup final further underscores his value to the Istanbul-based club.

Osimhen, who is on loan from Napoli, has quickly become a fan favorite at Galatasaray, with speculation growing about whether the club will be able to secure his services permanently for the next season.

As Galatasaray prepares for their crucial league finale against Kayserispor, all eyes will be on Osimhen to see if he can help deliver the domestic double that would cap off a remarkable season for both the player and the club.
