Nigerian forward Josh Maja has clinched West Bromwich Albion's Goal of the Season award for the 2024/25 campaign, following a fan vote that recognized his exceptional finish against Luton Town last November.
The 26-year-old striker's goal received the highest number of votes from supporters, beating Isaac Price's volley against Hull City, which came second in the poll. John Swift's free-kick against Burnley at Turf Moor rounded off the top three contenders.
This recognition adds to Maja's impressive season achievements, as he was also recently named West Brom's top scorer for the 2024/25 season after netting 12 goals in 26 appearances across all competitions for the Baggies.
Maja, who joined West Bromwich Albion in 2023, has established himself as a key attacking threat for the Championship side. His consistent performances have made him a fan favorite at The Hawthorns and strengthened his position as one of Nigeria's promising talents in English football.
The forward's achievement comes as West Brom continues their push for promotion to the Premier League, with Maja's goalscoring prowess proving crucial to their campaign this season.
