Galatasaray midfielder Mario Lemina has urged fans to respect whatever decision Victor Osimhen makes regarding his future as the Nigerian striker's loan spell at the Turkish club nears its conclusion.

Osimhen, who joined Galatasaray on a season-long loan from Napoli, has been in sensational form this season, netting 35 league goals and providing eight assists in 38 appearances across all competitions.

The 25-year-old striker recently helped Galatasaray secure the Turkish Cup, scoring twice in Wednesday's final to cap off what has been an impressive campaign in Turkey.

Despite his success with the Yellow-Reds, reports suggest Osimhen is looking to return to Napoli before exploring other options, with several clubs reportedly interested in securing his services during the upcoming summer transfer window.

Speaking about his teammate's future, Lemina was quoted by Habersarikirmizi as saying: "Today, he is progressing in line with the goals. Galatasaray will want him to stay, but it is his decision; we have to respect it."

The former Fulham midfielder added: "First of all, I can say that I have a very good relationship with Victor Osimhen, as with all my teammates. When I look at Victor, he is one of the best strikers in the world."
