Nigerian model Miss Nwaoma Ukachukwu has issued a stark warning about an impending crisis that she claims could engulf Nigeria if urgent action is not taken to address the current security challenges affecting farming activities nationwide.
In a bulletin released to the media, Ukachukwu stated that the ongoing crises in Benue, the South East, and parts of northern Nigeria have the potential to spread across the entire nation, claiming this information was revealed to her by God.
Rising Insecurity Threatens Food Production
According to Ukachukwu, there will be an alarming increase in criminal activities across multiple regions including the South East, North East, North West, and Middle Belt, as well as the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). She warned that these security challenges would significantly hamper farming activities, particularly during the current planting season.
"If the attackers continue to attack farmers, who will then go to the farm? Turn to any part of the country, there is one form of terrorism or the other. People in Plateau and Benue can no longer go to farm. People in the South East are constantly attacked," she stated.
"How can they farm comfortably? Far away in Zamfara, Borno and Yobe, the story is not different. Many cannot go deep into the bush or the forest to plant or harvest. It's a sad development," Ukachukwu added.
Government Inaction and Political Motives
The model, who is also the CEO of Nwaoma Foundation, accused government officials of deliberately creating the current situation for political gain, describing such tactics as "a direct attack on the citizens."
"The government that is supposed to be man's best bet and hope for a change, have decided to look the other way and become an agent of degradation and destruction. This is the sad reality," she lamented.
Ukachukwu further claimed that divine revelation showed Nigeria is "gradually getting into a period of famine and massive loss of life," exacerbated by what she described as bad government policies leading to "alarming poverty, inflation and rising food prices."
Call for Immediate Action
The model urged the government to take immediate action against insecurity and make alternative arrangements to store food for what she described as "the most difficult days ahead." Without such measures, she warned that "famine and loss of lives will become inevitable."
"I call on the government to take action now, else we are in big trouble. Crime rate will triple amid hunger and deaths if nothing concretely is done," she cautioned.
Ukachukwu concluded by highlighting what she perceives as widespread greed in Nigeria's political system, stating, "We need humanity to fight off this greed. We need to be our brother's keeper, else civil war will be a 'baby' to what is about to befall us. We must act now."
