Kwara United technical adviser, Tunde Sanni, has declared that the team has shifted their full attention to the upcoming President Federation Cup final following the conclusion of the 2024-25 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season.

The Harmony Boys wrapped up their NPFL campaign with a 1-0 defeat to Katsina United on Sunday, finishing the season in 14th position with 50 points. Despite the modest league placement, the team still has a chance to secure continental football next season.

"We thank God for the success of the NPFL season," Sanni stated in a post-match interview. "We will come back stronger next season. Our focus now is to win the FA Cup, and we are prepared to achieve it."

The Ilorin-based club will face Nigeria National League (NNL) side, Abakaliki FC, in the final of the President Federation Cup. The stakes are high as the winner will secure a spot in the CAF Confederation Cup next season, offering Kwara United a pathway to continental competition despite their mid-table league finish.

This represents a significant opportunity for Kwara United to claim their first-ever President Federation Cup title and return to continental football. The team's management has expressed confidence in their preparation for the crucial final.

The date for the President Federation Cup final is yet to be officially announced, but both teams are already intensifying preparations for the showpiece event that will conclude the 2024-25 Nigerian football season.
