Katsina United technical adviser Azeez Audu has set his sights on the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) title for the upcoming 2025-26 season, declaring his ambition to transform the club's fortunes.
Despite finishing in 15th position with 50 points last season, Audu remains optimistic about the team's potential to challenge for top honors.
"We want to fight for the league and win it or get the continental ticket next season," Audu told Nigerian Players Gallery. "As I said the other time, I want to make history with the club."
The technical adviser emphasized the importance of maintaining their strong home record, which he considers crucial to their title aspirations. "Keeping a good home record is one of the records I want to continue to keep next season," he added.
Building on Previous Campaign
Katsina United, also known as the Chanji Boys, will need significant improvement to challenge for the title after their lower-table finish in the previous campaign. However, Audu's determination suggests a potential overhaul in the team's approach and possibly personnel changes ahead of the new season.
The club has reportedly already begun preparations for the upcoming season, with management setting guidelines to ensure they compete at the highest level.
