Operatives of the Ebute Ero Police Division in Lagos have apprehended a man identified as Jackson Abraham for unlawfully possessing a stolen vehicle during a routine surveillance patrol.

The arrest occurred when officers on patrol spotted a suspicious ash-coloured Mitsubishi Space Wagon. Acting on instinct, the officers intercepted the vehicle and questioned Abraham.

Initial investigations revealed that the vehicle had been taken without authorization from a motor park in Ogun State. In a surprising twist, authorities discovered that both the suspect and the vehicle owner reside at the same address, raising questions about the circumstances surrounding the theft.

The vehicle has been recovered in good condition and is currently secured at the police station as investigations continue. The rightful owner, who had previously reported the missing vehicle to the Ogun State Police Command, has been notified and is assisting with the investigation.

Abraham remains in custody as arrangements are being made to transfer both him and the recovered vehicle to the Ogun State Police Command, which is handling the original case.

Authorities have indicated that the matter is expected to progress swiftly as investigations into the incident continue.
