The National Kwankwasiyya Coalition of Concerned Citizens for Sustainable Development has issued a stern warning to Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, urging him to be wary of alleged "cabinet cabals" that may be undermining his administration's efforts.

In a statement signed by the coalition's National Chairman, Comrade Dayyib Hassan Ahmad, the group expressed serious concerns that certain members of the governor's cabinet are working against his administration's objectives rather than supporting them.

"This coalition which was established since 2019 found it worthy to draw the attention of the governor to be wary of some members of his kitchen cabinet," Ahmad stated in the release.

The coalition highlighted a concerning pattern where loyal supporters who contributed significantly to the New Nigeria People's Party's (NNPP) electoral success in Kano are allegedly being sidelined, while certain cabinet members who offered minimal support are now prioritizing personal financial gain over public service.

According to the statement, these cabinet members appear more focused on amassing personal wealth than on implementing the governor's agenda of liberating the people of Kano State.

The Kwankwasiyya Coalition, which has been operational since 2019, urged Governor Yusuf to distance himself from ineffective cabinet members and instead prioritize individuals who genuinely worked towards the administration's success.

While reaffirming their commitment to both the NNPP and the broader Kwankwasiyya Movement, the coalition emphasized the urgent need for reform within the governor's inner circle to ensure the administration can deliver on its promises to the people of Kano State.

This development comes amid growing tensions within Kano's political landscape, as the governor navigates the complex dynamics of governance in one of Nigeria's most populous and politically significant states.
