The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Kano State Command has mobilized 3,100 personnel across the state to ensure peace and security during the upcoming Eid-el Kabir celebrations.

According to a statement released by the Command's Public Relations Officer, SC Ibrahim Idris Abdullahi, officers have been strategically positioned at key locations including Eid prayer grounds, markets, recreational centres, and other public spaces where large gatherings are expected.

The deployment draws personnel from various departments, area commands, and divisional offices to create a comprehensive security network throughout the state.

Warning to Potential Troublemakers

The Command issued a stern warning to potential troublemakers, emphasizing that any attempts to disrupt public peace during or after the celebrations would be met with the full force of the law.

"We encourage members of the public to support security operatives to ensure a smooth, incident-free Sallah celebration in 2025," the statement added, highlighting the importance of community cooperation in maintaining security.

This security measure aligns with similar deployments in other states, as the NSCDC works to ensure that citizens can celebrate the religious holiday safely across Nigeria.

The Eid-el Kabir celebration, one of the most important festivals in the Islamic calendar, typically sees increased movement of people and large gatherings, necessitating enhanced security arrangements.
