All final day matches in the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Super Six playoff will kick off simultaneously on Saturday at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne, setting the stage for what promises to be a thrilling conclusion to one of the closest title races in the league's history.

Five teams—Nasarawa Amazons, Edo Queens, Bayelsa Queens, Rivers Angels, and Remo Stars Ladies—remain in contention for the championship, making this one of the most competitive finishes the NWFL has ever witnessed.

Nasarawa Amazons currently lead the table with eight points and will face defending champions Edo Queens, who sit just one point behind, in what will be the headline clash at the main bowl. A victory for either side would secure them the title, adding significant stakes to an already intense matchup.

Meanwhile, third-placed Bayelsa Queens will take on bottom-of-the-table Naija Ratels on pitch four. Naija Ratels have endured a difficult tournament, failing to secure any points from their four matches played so far.

The third fixture will see Remo Stars Ladies face Rivers Angels on pitch 2, with both teams still mathematically in the title race.

This year's Super Six playoff has generated significant interest, partly due to the ₦24.5 million prize money announced by the NWFL for the tournament—a move aimed at boosting female football development in Nigeria.

Football enthusiasts across Nigeria will be keeping a close eye on proceedings in Ikenne as the 2025 NWFL champion is crowned on Saturday.
