The Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) has announced a significant financial boost for women's football with a total prize package of N24.5 million for the ongoing Super Six tournament.

According to the announcement made on May 16, 2025, the increased financial incentives will be distributed among all six participating clubs, with the champions set to receive N10 million, maintaining the standard established in the previous two editions.

The runners-up will be awarded N6 million, while the third-placed team will receive N4 million, representing a N1 million increase for both positions compared to last season. The bottom three teams will each get N1.5 million, an increment of N500,000 from the previous tournament.

Four clubs remain in contention for the title: Bayelsa Queens, Edo Queens, Nasarawa Amazons, and Remo Stars Ladies. The champion will be decided on the final day of the season, with all matches scheduled to kick off simultaneously to maintain competitive integrity.

The increased prize money reflects the NWFL's commitment to developing women's football in Nigeria, providing greater financial incentives for clubs and players in the domestic league.

This development comes as women's football continues to gain prominence in Nigeria, with the Super Falcons maintaining their status as one of Africa's strongest national teams and Nigerian players increasingly securing professional contracts abroad.

Football enthusiasts across the country are eagerly anticipating the final matches of the Super Six tournament, which will crown this season's champion of Nigerian women's club football.
