The Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) has announced that all final day matches in the Super Six playoff will kick off simultaneously on Saturday at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne.

In what is being described as one of the closest title races in NWFL history, five teams—Nasarawa Amazons, Edo Queens, Bayelsa Queens, Rivers Angels, and Remo Stars Ladies—remain in contention for the championship heading into the final matchday.

Nasarawa Amazons currently top the table with eight points and will face defending champions Edo Queens, who sit just one point behind, in a high-stakes encounter at the main bowl. A victory for either side would secure them the title, making this the marquee fixture of the final day.

Meanwhile, third-placed Bayelsa Queens will take on bottom-placed Naija Ratels on pitch four. Naija Ratels have endured a difficult tournament, failing to secure any points from their four matches so far.

The third fixture will see Remo Stars Ladies face Rivers Angels on pitch 2, with both teams still mathematically in the title race.

The NWFL has also announced a prize money pool of N24.5 million for the Super Six playoff, demonstrating the league's commitment to boosting women's football in Nigeria.

Football fans across Nigeria will be keeping a close eye on proceedings in Ikenne as the 2025 NWFL season reaches its dramatic conclusion.
