Spanish club Valencia has made a loan bid for Super Eagles striker Umar Sadiq, seeking to bring the Nigerian international back to the Mestalla Stadium for the upcoming season, BenriNews reports.

Sadiq, 27, previously spent the second half of last season on loan with Valencia, where he made a significant impact by scoring five goals in 16 league appearances, helping the club in their battle against relegation.

According to Spanish news outlet Sport, Valencia is now pushing for a season-long loan deal for the Real Sociedad forward. The club has reportedly expressed willingness to cover Sadiq's entire salary during the loan period, demonstrating their serious interest in securing his services.

Despite Sadiq's valuable contributions during his previous stint, Valencia had opted not to sign him on a permanent transfer at the end of last season. This new approach suggests manager Carlos Corberán sees the Nigerian striker as an important piece in his plans for the 2025/26 campaign.

The Super Eagles forward has also attracted interest from other clubs, with reports linking him to Getafe, Girona, and Turkish side Samsunspor. However, Valencia appears to be making the most concrete move for his signature at this stage.

Sadiq's potential return to Valencia would provide him with another opportunity to showcase his abilities in La Liga, where he has already proven he can perform at a high level.
