Nollywood actress Angela Okorie has broken her silence on the controversial group chat that has been trending across social media platforms in connection with the late singer Mohbad.
In a statement posted on her Instagram account, Okorie revealed that while she was briefly added to the group by someone she knows, she promptly left after realizing the conversations were not aligned with her interests.
"Everybody knows I love and respect Aunty Iyabo. Anything she does and invites me to, I always go. Everybody knows I like Naira Marley; even during the whole saga with Mohbad, people were dragging me," she explained.
The actress further clarified, "Now, a lot of people don't know I was added to that group. The moment I saw that it was not about me, I vacated the building. The aunty that added me called and was apologizing for over an hour."
Okorie emphasized her lack of interest in unnecessary drama, stating that she prefers to focus on her personal and professional life. She also expressed her desire for justice for the late Mohbad, saying, "You guys should stop this hatred. Whatever is going on, I believe we are definitely going to resolve it. Anybody that is human will definitely want justice for him."
The group chat controversy has been making headlines after social media personality VeryDarkMan allegedly leaked conversations involving several Nigerian celebrities, including Iyabo Ojo and Samklef, suggesting they were part of a WhatsApp group that allegedly sabotaged justice for Mohbad.
This revelation comes amid other developments in the case, including reports that Davido unfollowed Iyabo Ojo after the leaked chats surfaced, and VeryDarkMan's claim that he was told by Naira Marley to detain Iyabo Ojo.
