Nigerian international Victor Osimhen has been described as the "best striker in the world" following his permanent transfer to Turkish giants Galatasaray.

Italian football agent George Gardi has praised the Turkish club for securing the services of the Super Eagles striker, calling it "the biggest transfer in the history of the Turkish top flight league."

Osimhen, who impressed during his loan spell at Galatasaray last season, has now completed a permanent move after the club triggered his €75 million release clause from Napoli following weeks of negotiations.

As quoted by habersarikirmizi, Gardi said: "It's one of the biggest transfers in Turkish football history. We got the best number 9 in the world, but the negotiations took a long time. Victor just wanted to come here."

The agent further emphasized that the move demonstrates Galatasaray's ambition, highlighting the significance of bringing the Nigerian star to Istanbul on a permanent basis.

Osimhen traveled to Galatasaray on Wednesday evening to finalize his transfer and join the team for preseason activities, marking the beginning of a new chapter in his career after his successful stint with Napoli.

The striker had previously expressed his determination to return to Galatasaray permanently, indicating his satisfaction with the club and its supporters during his loan period.

This transfer represents a significant milestone for Nigerian football, with Osimhen now among the most expensive African players in football history.
