Turkish champions Galatasaray are reportedly planning to make two more significant signings following their successful acquisition of Bayern Munich's Leroy Sane and Nigeria's Victor Osimhen, according to Nigerian broadcast journalist Onyebuchi Onokala, also known as Buchi Laba.
The Istanbul-based club has already completed the transfer of Sane, who joined as a free agent from Bayern Munich. On Wednesday night, they officially unveiled Osimhen, who has now agreed to a permanent move after spending last season on loan with the club.
Buchi Laba, in a post on X (formerly Twitter), praised the ambition of the Turkish giants, stating: "Galatasaray fans should be excited. People running your club are ambitious and intentional. The President, Vice President Abdullah Kavukcu and George Gardi worked serious magic in getting Sane, Now Osimhen and 2 more big signings will happen."
The news comes as a significant boost for Galatasaray supporters, who have witnessed their club's aggressive transfer strategy this summer. The addition of Osimhen, one of Africa's most prolific strikers, alongside German international Sane, demonstrates the club's intent to not only dominate domestically but also make a mark in European competitions.
While details about the two additional signings remain undisclosed, the club's recent transfer activities suggest they are targeting high-profile players to strengthen their squad further ahead of the new season.
Osimhen's permanent move to Galatasaray marks the end of his tumultuous relationship with Napoli, where he had fallen out of favor despite his impressive goal-scoring record. The Nigerian international will be looking to continue his fine form in Turkey, where he has already established himself as a fan favorite.
