Social media activist Vincent Otse Martins, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, has made serious allegations against several Nigerian celebrities, claiming they formed a secret WhatsApp group to sabotage justice for late singer Mohbad.
In a video shared on Instagram, VeryDarkMan alleged that actress Iyabo Ojo led the WhatsApp group that included music producer Samklef, Davido's associate Dre, actor Jigan Baba Oja, and others. According to him, the group was created to spread misinformation and coordinate efforts to silence those seeking justice for Mohbad following his death in September 2023.
"This group was created to push false narratives and plan my arrest. They blackmailed me because I asked questions they did not want answers to," VeryDarkMan claimed in the video.
The social media activist further alleged that the leak of his nude video by gossip blog Gistlover and his subsequent imprisonment were orchestrated within this group to silence him. He connected these actions to his calls for thorough investigations into individuals who were with Mohbad before his passing, as well as his suggestion for a DNA test to confirm the paternity of Mohbad's son, Liam Light Aloba.
VeryDarkMan has vowed to expose the content of the alleged group chat, claiming it contains damaging evidence of public deception and how his freedom was compromised. The accusations have added another layer to the ongoing controversy surrounding Mohbad's death, which continues to generate significant public interest nearly a year after the incident.
This development comes amid a series of public confrontations involving VeryDarkMan and various Nigerian celebrities, including recent exchanges with singer Portable.
