Nigerian football talent Ibraheem Ajaa has secured a permanent transfer to Russian Premier League side FC Rostov, BenriNews can confirm.

The 19-year-old forward has completed his move from Egyptian club Modern Sport, putting pen to paper on a five-year contract with the Russian outfit.

Ajaa caught the attention of Rostov scouts following his standout performances for Modern Sport during the previous season, demonstrating the technical ability and potential that prompted the Russian club to secure his signature.

The young Nigerian is expected to make his competitive debut for his new club this weekend when FC Rostov faces Zenit St. Petersburg in a Russian Premier League fixture on Sunday.

FC Rostov, managed by Jonatan Alba, finished eighth in the Russian Premier League last season and will be looking to improve their standing with the addition of promising talents like Ajaa.

This transfer represents another significant step for Nigerian football talent making inroads into European leagues, with Russia becoming an increasingly popular destination for young African players looking to establish themselves in European football.
