Bayern Munich Ladies have officially announced the signing of Nigerian striker Edna Imade from Spanish Liga F club Granada. The talented 24-year-old forward has committed to the German giants with a contract running until June 30, 2029.
According to the announcement made on July 15, 2025, Imade will be immediately loaned out to Spanish club Real Sociedad for the upcoming 2025–26 season as part of her development plan.
The Nigerian international has been making waves in Spanish women's football, finishing as the second-highest scorer in Liga F last season with an impressive tally of 16 goals in 29 appearances. Her outstanding performances also earned her a spot in the La Liga Women Team of the Season.
This transfer represents a significant career move for Imade, who joins the prestigious Bavarian side after establishing herself as one of the most clinical finishers in Spanish women's football. The four-year contract demonstrates Bayern Munich's confidence in the Nigerian striker's abilities and potential.
While Bayern fans will have to wait to see Imade in action for their team due to the loan arrangement with Real Sociedad, the move positions her at one of Europe's elite clubs with a clear pathway for future integration into the first team.
The transfer continues the trend of Nigerian female footballers securing moves to top European clubs, highlighting the growing recognition of talent from the West African nation in women's football.
