Scottish Premiership club Motherwell are on the verge of completing the signing of Nigerian winger Ibrahim Said from Danish club Viborg for a reported fee of £75,000, BenriNews can confirm.

The 23-year-old Nigerian talent has already arrived in Scotland to undergo his medical examinations ahead of finalizing the transfer.

Motherwell's head coach Jens Berthem Askou is reportedly familiar with Said's capabilities, having previously coached in Denmark where the Nigerian has been plying his trade since 2020.

Said first caught international attention during the 2019 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Brazil, where he represented Nigeria's Golden Eaglets with distinction, scoring three goals in four appearances at the tournament.

Following his impressive showing at the youth tournament, the versatile winger secured a move from Nigeria's Dabo Babes Academy to Viborg in 2020, where he has since established himself as a valuable player.

During his time with the Danish outfit, Said has made 112 appearances across all competitions, contributing 11 goals and providing 11 assists, demonstrating his ability to both score and create opportunities for his teammates.

The move to Motherwell represents a significant step in Said's career as he prepares to test himself in the competitive environment of Scottish football.

For Motherwell, the acquisition of the Nigerian winger could provide additional attacking options as they look to strengthen their squad ahead of the upcoming Scottish Premiership season.
