Super Falcons captain Rasheedat Ajibade has declared the team's readiness to reclaim their Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) title at the 2024 tournament in Morocco.
Nigeria's women's national team, the most successful in the competition's history with nine titles, lost their crown to South Africa's Banyana Banyana in the previous edition.
"There's a lot of confidence in camp and we're committed to our goal. We all understand what's at stake," Ajibade stated during an appearance on the Super Falcons show.
Tournament Schedule and Group Stage
The West African giants will begin their campaign against Tunisia on Sunday, July 6. They will also face Botswana and Algeria in the same group as they aim to secure a record-extending tenth continental title.
Under the guidance of coach Justine Madugu, the team has been preparing intensively to ensure they return to the pinnacle of African women's football.
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has already released the match schedule for the Super Falcons, with Nigeria's opening fixture against Tunisia generating significant anticipation among football fans.
