Nigerian international striker Victor Osimhen is reportedly eyeing a move to the Saudi Pro League during the current transfer window, according to Turkish football expert Ertem Şener.
Şener claims that the Napoli forward's decision is primarily motivated by financial considerations. "The information I received is that Osimhen wants to go to Saudi Arabia to earn a higher salary from the Arabs," Şener was quoted as saying.
Saudi Giants Lead the Race
Saudi Pro League powerhouse Al Hilal is currently working to secure Osimhen's signature. The club reportedly wants the 26-year-old Nigerian to join their squad ahead of the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup later this month.
However, Al Hilal faces stiff competition from Turkish side Galatasaray, who are also interested in signing Osimhen on a permanent basis following his successful loan spell with them last season.
Impressive Stint in Turkey
During his time at Galatasaray, Osimhen made a significant impact, helping the club secure both the Turkish League title and the Turkish Cup. This successful stint has made him a coveted target for multiple clubs.
The Nigerian striker's future remains uncertain as both clubs continue their pursuit, but his apparent preference for Saudi Arabia could be the deciding factor in his next career move.
