The traditional ruler of Sarkin Kudu Chiefdom in Ibi local government council of Taraba State, Ibrahim Adamu Sale, has publicly commended Governor Agbu Kefas for successfully curbing kidnapping, banditry, and other criminal activities that previously plagued the state.
Speaking during his Eid-el-Kabir message delivered on Saturday in Ibi, the third-class monarch expressed profound gratitude on behalf of his people, highlighting the remarkable improvement in security conditions since Governor Kefas assumed office.
Transformation of Security Landscape
"Before the administration of Governor Agbu Kefas, the situation here was dire. Kidnappers frequently targeted our people, demanding ransoms and making it unsafe for farmers to access their lands," the traditional ruler stated.
"Governor Kefas acted decisively, and the results are evident. Our people can now go about their activities without fear," he added, acknowledging the significant impact of the governor's security initiatives.
The monarch particularly praised the strategic deployment of security forces that successfully flushed out criminal elements from the area, restoring peace to communities that had previously lived in constant fear.
Call for Continued Support
Alhaji Sale emphasized the importance of continued support for the Kefas administration from both Muslim and Christian populations in his domain. He stressed that the governor has demonstrated a clear commitment to the overall development of Taraba State.
"The governor has clear plans for the progress of Taraba, and we must all support him to ensure those plans succeed," the traditional ruler remarked, urging unified backing for the administration's development agenda.
In his Eid message, the monarch also called on Muslims to embrace the spirit of sacrifice exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim and encouraged leaders at all levels to emulate such dedication and selflessness in their service to the people.
The traditional ruler's commendation comes as a significant endorsement of Governor Kefas's security strategy, which has apparently yielded positive results in a region previously known for high rates of kidnapping and banditry.
