Nigerian international striker Victor Osimhen reportedly became furious over media reports suggesting his imminent departure from Turkish Super League champions Galatasaray, according to club commentator Ugur Karakullukçu.

Karakullukçu revealed on his YouTube channel that the 26-year-old striker was so angered by the news that he cancelled a scheduled press conference and needed time to calm down.

"I learned that Osimhen was very angry the other day. There was a news story at noon saying 'He will announce his departure'. When he saw the post, he went crazy, they could hardly contain it," Karakullukçu said via habersarikirmizi.

The commentator added: "He got angry at the news that he was leaving. He got angry and cancelled the press conference. He was very angry until training, and calmed down a little after training."

Osimhen joined Galatasaray on loan from Italian side Napoli last year. His current loan arrangement is set to expire this June, with widespread speculation about his future destination.

The Nigerian striker is expected to leave Napoli permanently this summer, with several top European clubs reportedly interested in securing his signature. Recent reports have linked him with potential moves to the English Premier League, with Chelsea and Manchester United among the clubs mentioned.

According to separate reports, Napoli has reportedly demanded Manchester United striker Rasmus Hojlund plus £33.6 million for Osimhen's signature, highlighting the Italian club's valuation of the Nigerian forward.

Nigerian musician Peter Okoye recently claimed that he and former Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel are working to bring Osimhen to Chelsea, further fueling transfer speculation.

Osimhen himself has reportedly promised to announce a decision on his future next week, which could finally put an end to the ongoing speculation about his next club.
