Troops of Operation HADIN KAI have neutralized three Boko Haram terrorists during a clearance operation in Konduga Local Government Area of Borno State, according to security analyst Zagazola Makama.
The successful operation, which took place on May 31, 2025, was revealed in a post shared by Makama on X (formerly Twitter) on Saturday, June 1.
According to the report, the troops encountered the insurgents while conducting a routine clearance mission on the outskirts of Konduga. The confrontation resulted in a fierce exchange of gunfire between the military forces and the terrorists.
Details of the Operation
During the exchange, three Boko Haram fighters were killed, while others reportedly fled with gunshot wounds. The operation demonstrates the continued efforts of Nigerian security forces to rid Borno State and the broader Northeast region of terrorist elements.
Operation HADIN KAI is the Nigerian military's counter-insurgency initiative in the Northeast, focused on combating Boko Haram and other terrorist groups that have plagued the region for over a decade.
Konduga, located approximately 25 kilometers from Maiduguri, the Borno State capital, has been a flashpoint for terrorist activities in recent years.
