Operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Benue State have apprehended a man for allegedly vandalising electric cables in Makurdi, the state capital.
The suspect was caught in the act during the early hours of Sunday, June 1, 2025, at Commissioner's Village in Makurdi while attempting to cut and steal electrical cables from public infrastructure.
According to reports, NSCDC personnel conducted a search on the suspect and discovered several suspicious items in his possession, including used and unused condoms, as well as packs of instant noodles. These findings have raised additional questions about the suspect's activities and intentions in the area.
