Former England striker Gary Lineker has predicted Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) will defeat Inter Milan 2-0 in Saturday's UEFA Champions League final at the Allianz Arena in Munich.
Speaking on The Rest is Football podcast, Lineker expressed confidence in PSG's chances, stating: "I'm going 2-0 PSG. I think it is their turn, I have kept saying it."
The highly anticipated final, scheduled to kick off at 8 p.m., will see the French Ligue 1 champions face the Serie A giants after both teams navigated challenging paths to the final. PSG eliminated Arsenal in the semi-finals, while Inter Milan overcame Barcelona to secure their place.
Lineker suggested this season has favored unexpected outcomes, citing recent examples in English football. "It's why I tipped Crystal Palace [to win the FA Cup final against Manchester City] and after what happened with Newcastle, and Tottenham winning any kind of trophy for the first time in 17 years, I have a feeling it's that kind of season," he added.
The match represents a significant opportunity for PSG, who have never won the Champions League despite their domestic dominance and substantial investment in world-class talent over the past decade. In contrast, Inter Milan boasts a rich European pedigree, having lifted the prestigious trophy three times in their history.
Football fans across Nigeria and worldwide will be watching closely to see if PSG can finally claim their first Champions League title or if Inter Milan will add a fourth European crown to their collection.
