Super Eagles defender Kenneth Omeruo has urged striker Victor Osimhen to choose Chelsea over Arsenal when he leaves Napoli this summer, stating that the Blues offer better trophy prospects.

Osimhen, whose loan spell at Turkish club Galatasaray is set to conclude this month, has attracted significant interest from several Premier League clubs, including Arsenal and Chelsea, as well as teams in Italy and Saudi Arabia.

"Of course Chelsea, Arsenal needs him, but I want him to win trophies," Omeruo, who previously played for Chelsea, told SportyTV. "Right now he's the best striker in the world for me."

The Nigerian international came close to joining Chelsea last summer before eventually moving to Turkey on loan. His future has become a subject of intense speculation as he prepares to return to Napoli from Galatasaray.

Premier League Return Likely

Osimhen's potential move to the Premier League has gained momentum in recent weeks, with both London clubs reportedly keen to secure his signature. Chelsea's interest appears to have persisted since their previous attempt to sign the striker last year.

Omeruo's endorsement of Chelsea over Arsenal reflects his own history with the Blues, where he was signed in 2012 but spent most of his time on loan at various clubs before eventually leaving permanently.

The defender's comments come shortly after Chelsea secured the Europa Conference Cup victory over Real Betis, potentially strengthening his argument about the club's trophy-winning capabilities.

As the transfer window approaches, Osimhen's decision will be closely watched by Nigerian football fans, with many eager to see where the prolific striker will continue his career after his stint in Turkey.
