The Kebbi State House of Assembly has officially confirmed the appointment of Aminu Abdullahi as the substantive Deputy Clerk, following approval from Governor Nasir Idris.

According to a press statement signed by Bashar Bawa, Secretary of the Kebbi State House of Assembly Service Commission and released to journalists on Wednesday, the confirmation came after recommendations from the Assembly Service Commission chaired by Hon. Umar Altine Suru.

Abdullahi, who had been serving in an acting capacity for more than a year, was described by the commission as a "diligent and experienced officer" who has demonstrated strong commitment to the responsibilities of the office during his tenure in acting capacity.

The commission noted that the confirmation aligns with Section 17 of the law establishing the Assembly Service Commission, ensuring proper procedural adherence in the appointment process.

Governor Idris's approval of the appointment was characterized in the statement as reflecting his administration's commitment to merit-based leadership and accountability as the state approaches the 2027 elections.
