Nigerian forward Ademola Lookman will almost certainly leave Atalanta this summer, but Arsenal is not a likely destination, according to transfer market expert Matteo Moretto.
Moretto, speaking on Fabrizio Romano's YouTube channel, stated that despite recent rumors linking the Europa League hero to the Premier League side, Arsenal's age policy makes such a move highly improbable.
"Lookman is a name that we will definitely talk about in view of the next transfer market because Lookman will leave Atalanta 99.9%," Moretto said.
"In the last few hours the rumor has come out that Lookman could end up at Arsenal. I tell you that to date I don't know if he is due to his characteristics but above all due to his age, because Arsenal in any case have a certain type of standard also in terms of the age of the players to buy," he explained.
Lookman, who was instrumental in Atalanta's Europa League triumph last season, scoring a hat-trick in the 3-0 final victory over Bayer Leverkusen, has reportedly been offered to several European clubs including Arsenal and Atletico Madrid.
However, according to Moretto, the "teams most interested are two Italian ones: Juventus and Napoli." The transfer expert believes the Nigerian international is not on Mikel Arteta's wish list for the upcoming season.
Under manager Gian Piero Gasperini, Lookman has established himself as a key player for Atalanta, helping the club secure UEFA Champions League qualification for next season alongside their Europa League success.
With the summer transfer window approaching, the former Everton player's future remains a hot topic, though it appears his next move will likely keep him in Serie A rather than taking him back to the Premier League.
