Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne has received a lucrative three-year deal worth €17 million from Italian club Napoli as he prepares to exit the English champions this summer.
The 33-year-old Belgian international will leave Manchester City as a free agent after the club decided not to extend his contract, bringing an end to his illustrious nine-year spell at the Etihad Stadium.
According to football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Napoli's proposal includes a net salary of €6 million per year for the first two seasons and €5 million for the third season, plus a signing fee. The total package is valued at approximately €17 million.
De Bruyne has reportedly already given his preliminary approval to join the Serie A champions, having reached an agreement in principle with the Italian club. However, the midfielder is also considering an offer from Major League Soccer (MLS) side Chicago Fire.
The Belgian playmaker is expected to announce his final decision soon as he weighs up his options for the next chapter of his career.
De Bruyne joined Manchester City from German Bundesliga side VfL Wolfsburg in 2015 and has since established himself as one of the Premier League's greatest midfielders. During his time under Pep Guardiola, he has been instrumental in the club's domestic and European successes.
The midfielder has already bid farewell to Manchester City fans, marking the end of an era for both the player and the club.
