Nigerian international striker Victor Osimhen has reportedly agreed to a three-year contract with Saudi Pro League club Al-Hilal, effectively ending interest from Premier League giants Chelsea and Manchester United.

According to Saudi newspaper Al-Riyadh, the 26-year-old forward, who has been in spectacular form during his loan spell at Galatasaray, is set to make the move to the Middle East this summer. Al-Hilal are reportedly prepared to trigger the €75 million release clause in Osimhen's contract with his parent club Napoli.

Osimhen joined Turkish side Galatasaray on a season-long loan from Napoli last year after a potential move to Chelsea collapsed in the final stages of the transfer window. His time in Turkey has been remarkably successful, with the striker netting an impressive 36 goals in 40 appearances across all competitions.

His goalscoring prowess has been instrumental in helping Galatasaray secure a domestic double this season, winning both the Turkish league title and cup competition.

Sources indicate that Al-Hilal are eager to have Osimhen in their squad for the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup, which begins next month. The Saudi club's interest comes after holding direct talks with the Nigerian striker about a potential move.

This development represents a significant blow to both Chelsea and Manchester United, who have been consistently linked with the forward as they look to strengthen their attacking options for the upcoming season.

Osimhen first rose to prominence in European football with Lille in France before securing his move to Napoli, where he played a crucial role in their 2022-2023 Serie A title triumph.

If completed, this transfer would make Osimhen one of the highest-profile African players to join the rapidly expanding Saudi Pro League, which has attracted numerous international stars in recent years.
