Niger Tornadoes chairman, Ibrahim Dada, has issued a strong assurance to the club's supporters that the team will successfully avoid relegation from the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) this season.
The Ikon Allah Boys currently occupy 14th position in the league table with 48 points, precariously close to the relegation zone with just one match remaining in the season.
"I want to assure our fans that we will not let them down, we will do everything possible to escape relegation," Dada told Nigerian Players Gallery. "Our players are 100% ready and will do everything to make you guys smile."
Niger Tornadoes need to avoid defeat in their final league fixture against Kano Pillars, scheduled for Sunday at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium in Kaduna, to secure their NPFL status for next season.
The crucial match comes at a time when several clubs are battling to avoid the drop in what has been a highly competitive NPFL season. A win would guarantee safety for the Minna-based club regardless of other results.
The chairman's confident statement aims to rally support and boost morale ahead of the high-stakes encounter against Kano Pillars, who have their own ambitions for the final day of the season.
Niger Tornadoes have had a challenging season but have shown resilience in recent matches to put themselves in a position where their NPFL fate remains in their own hands heading into the final day.
