Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, has officially reinstated the Ministry of Information that was previously scrapped during the administration of his predecessor, Nasir El-Rufai.

According to a statement released by the Governor's Chief Press Secretary, Ibraheem Musa, the reinstatement comes alongside significant cabinet changes, including the redeployment of Professor Mohammed Sani-Bello from his position as Commissioner of Education to head the newly restored Information Ministry.

Professor Abubakar Sani Sambo, former Director General of the Energy Commission of Nigeria and Special Adviser to the President on Energy, has been appointed as the new Commissioner of Education. The governor has also appointed Gloria Ibrahim to serve as Commissioner for Youth Development.

The statement emphasized that all appointments and redeployments take immediate effect.

While congratulating the appointees, Governor Sani outlined his expectations for the new commissioners. He charged Professor Sambo to reinvigorate the Education Ministry to deliver on his administration's agenda, which focuses on improving access to education, building and rehabilitating infrastructure, enhancing teacher capacity, harnessing ICT capabilities, prioritizing girl-child education, and strengthening security in schools.

For the newly appointed Commissioner for Youth Development, Gloria Ibrahim, the governor expects her to develop creative, innovative, and implementable programs that will position the ministry as a leading center for high-impact solutions addressing youth-related issues, aligning with his administration's focus on youth empowerment.

This cabinet reshuffle represents a significant departure from the administrative structure maintained during El-Rufai's tenure, signaling Governor Sani's distinct approach to governance in Kaduna State.
