Security agencies in Taraba State have conducted a comprehensive statewide show of force operation in preparation for the upcoming Taraba International Investment Summit, demonstrating their readiness to maintain peace and security during the event.
The operation, spearheaded by the Taraba State Police Command in collaboration with other security formations, covered key locations across the state. According to officials, the exercise aims to deter criminal activities, boost public confidence, and showcase the unified commitment of security agencies to maintain order throughout the summit.
Speaking on behalf of the Commissioner of Police, Emmanuel S. Bretet, the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Operations, DCP Umar Shehu Didango, described the operation as a proactive measure to ensure a secure environment for the high-profile event.
"As we prepare to welcome investors, guests, and dignitaries, it is crucial that we provide a safe and peaceful atmosphere. This Show of Force underscores our commitment to public safety and our determination to ensure the Summit proceeds without incident," DCP Didango stated.
The Police Command has urged residents to remain vigilant and promptly report any suspicious activities to the nearest security outpost.
