The University of Abuja has appointed a new acting Registrar following approval from the institution's Governing Council. Roseline Adakayi has been named to the position for a six-month tenure, effective Monday, May 12, 2025.
According to a statement released by Habib Yakoob, the Acting Director of Information and University Relations, the appointment was approved by Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council, Olanrewaju Tejuoso.
The appointment letter, signed by Acting Vice-Chancellor Professor Patricia Manko Lar, indicates that Adakayi will serve in an acting capacity pending the selection of a substantive registrar.
Adakayi succeeds Islamiya Foyeke Abdulraheem, whose six-month tenure as acting registrar concluded on the same day, May 12, 2025.
The University of Abuja, one of Nigeria's federal universities located in the nation's capital, continues its administrative restructuring with this appointment as it maintains its position in Nigeria's higher education landscape.
