The Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) has officially commenced the admission process for the 77 Regular Course, according to a statement released by the institution on Monday.

The announcement, shared on the Academy's X (formerly Twitter) platform, outlines specific requirements for candidates who participated in the 2025 Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and selected NDA as their first choice institution.

According to the statement, applicants must have achieved a minimum UTME score of 180 points for most courses. However, those applying for engineering programs face a higher threshold, with a minimum requirement of 210 points in the examination.

"Only candidates that meet these minimum scores will be eligible to select a centre and participate in the NDA Screening Test," the Academy emphasized.

The NDA Screening Test has been scheduled to take place nationwide on May 24, 2025. Candidates who successfully pass this screening will subsequently be invited to the Armed Forces Selection Board at the NDA headquarters.

During the Selection Board phase, applicants will undergo comprehensive evaluations, including medical examinations, physical fitness tests, mental assessments, and other relevant examinations to determine their suitability for military training.

The Academy further stated that the final list of admitted candidates would be published in national newspapers and on the official NDA website upon completion of all selection processes.

The Nigerian Defence Academy, established to train officer cadets for commissioning into the Nigerian Armed Forces, continues to be a premier military university in the country, offering both military training and academic degrees to successful candidates.

Interested candidates who meet the stipulated requirements are advised to follow the Academy's official channels for further updates regarding the admission process.
