The Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), Prof. Is-haq Oloyede, has supervised the staff promotion examination conducted for the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) personnel.
According to a statement released by JAMB spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, Prof. Oloyede expressed appreciation to TETFund and other agencies for their continued confidence in JAMB's credibility as an examination body.
"During the examination, Prof. Oloyede expressed his gratitude to TETFund, the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), and other agencies for their continued confidence in JAMB's credibility and their ongoing collaboration with the Board," the statement read.
The JAMB Registrar commended TETFund for its proactive decision to engage JAMB for the examination process, affirming that the Board remains committed to providing exceptional examination services to organizations that value integrity and trust in the examination process.
Addressing Recent Challenges
Reflecting on the difficulties faced by JAMB this year, Prof. Oloyede acknowledged his responsibility for the events that transpired but emphasized that this does not excuse any stakeholder, including Board staff, from neglecting their duties.
The Registrar assured that appropriate action would be taken against any dereliction of duty, highlighting his commitment to exploring innovative examination methodologies.
Prof. Oloyede expressed satisfaction that the TETFund promotion examination was conducted without any difficulties, noting that there were no reports indicating leakage or any other issues during the process.
This supervision comes amid recent controversies surrounding the 2025 UTME examinations, where there were reports of alleged hacking of the JAMB website and subsequent rescheduling of examinations for affected candidates.
The successful conduct of the TETFund promotion examination demonstrates JAMB's continued capacity to deliver credible examination services despite recent challenges.
