Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has announced the death of Alhaji Ramalan Yero, the father of former Kaduna State Governor, Alhaji Muktar Ramalan Yero.

The announcement was made through the Governor's verified Facebook page, where he expressed his condolences and highlighted the deceased's contributions to the state.

"It is with a heavy heart, yet deep gratitude to Almighty Allah (SWT), that I received the sad news of the passing of Alhaji Ramalan Yero, father of H.E. Alhaji Muktar Ramalan Yero, former Governor of Kaduna State," Governor Sani stated.

The late Alhaji Ramalan Yero was a prominent figure in Kaduna State, serving as the Turakin Dawakin Zazzau, a respected traditional title in the Zazzau Emirate. He was known for his roles as a traditional title holder, religious leader, and elder statesman.

Governor Sani described the deceased as someone remembered for "his dedication, hard work, and his devotion to community service," noting that his death represents a significant loss to multiple communities.

"With his passing, the Zazzau Emirate has lost a voice of wisdom, Kaduna State has lost a statesman, and the Muslim Ummah has lost a pillar of strength and guidance," the Governor remarked.

In his condolence message, Governor Sani prayed for the deceased, saying, "We pray that Allah (SWT) forgive his shortcomings and grant him Aljannatul Firdaus. May the Almighty also grant H.E. Ramalan Muktar Yero and his family the strength and patience to bear this irreplaceable loss."

The death of Alhaji Ramalan Yero adds to the list of prominent figures Kaduna State has lost in recent times. As a respected elder and traditional title holder, his contributions to the development and cultural heritage of the Zazzau Emirate and Kaduna State will be remembered by many.
