Bayelsa Queens captain, Abiola Blessing, has declared that her team will intensify their efforts in pursuit of the 2025 Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) title following their impressive performance in the ongoing Super Six playoff tournament.
The Prosperity Girls secured a convincing 2-0 victory over Remo Stars Ladies in their matchday three fixture on Tuesday, bringing their tournament tally to seven points from three matches.
Speaking to AV TV after the match, Abiola acknowledged the high caliber of competition in the tournament, noting that every team presents a significant challenge.
"Bayelsa Queens have to do better because every team in the tournament is strong and very technical," Abiola stated. "We will give our maximum effort in order to win the title and also to qualify to play in the Women's CAF Champions League next season."
The captain's determination reflects Bayelsa Queens' ambition not only to claim domestic glory but also to secure continental representation in the prestigious CAF Women's Champions League.
