The Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Hasan Bala Abubakar, has urged Nigerian Air Force troops to maintain vigilance and intensify strikes against terrorists and insurgents during an operational visit to frontline personnel in Katsina State.

According to a statement by Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, Director of Public Relations and Information at Nigerian Air Force Headquarters, the Air Chief emphasized the need for personnel to remain focused on their mission of securing the nation, particularly as the NAF celebrates its 61st anniversary.

"Yes, we have achieved commendable milestones, but this is not the time to slow down. We must not rest on our oars. Now is the time to consolidate and intensify our air strikes against terrorists, insurgents, and bandits," Air Marshal Abubakar stated.

The CAS reaffirmed that NAF platforms remain fully deployed across all theatres of operation nationwide. During his address, he reassured Nigerians of the Air Force's unwavering commitment to its constitutional mandate of defending the nation.

"Nigerians can be rest assured that we remain fully committed to our constitutional mandate. We will continue to give our very best in defence of our nation," he added.

While acknowledging significant progress in various operations, the Air Chief emphasized that the fight against insecurity is far from over. He called on troops to give Nigerians "more reasons to hope—more victories that reassure them that their Air Force remains alert, ready, and determined to defeat all enemies of peace."

During the visit, Air Marshal Abubakar interacted with troops at the operational base, inspected facilities, and assessed the state of deployed platforms. The operational tour underscores the leadership's commitment to troop welfare, operational effectiveness, and frontline engagement as part of a broader strategy to restore peace and stability across troubled regions in Nigeria.
