Former Minister of Police Affairs, Adamu Maina Waziri, has launched a scathing critique of President Bola Tinubu's administration, describing it as significantly worse than former President Muhammadu Buhari's government.

Speaking during an interview on Trust TV, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) chieftain did not mince words when comparing the two administrations, stating, "If the Buhari government was a failure, the Tinubu government in the last two years is a disastrous catastrophe."

Waziri specifically pointed to what he perceives as major shortcomings in Tinubu's handling of security challenges, economic management, and anti-corruption efforts. According to the former minister, the current administration has underperformed even when measured against Buhari's controversial tenure.

"It has failed in all ramifications, and the country has regressed," Waziri asserted during the interview. He expressed particular dismay at political figures who continue to support the administration despite security challenges in their constituencies.

"I am surprised that people whose local governments are under the control of bandits can appear on national television to endorse this government," he remarked.

Waziri's comments come amid growing public discourse about the effectiveness of Tinubu's policies, particularly regarding the cost of living crisis and persistent security challenges across various regions of Nigeria.

The former minister's critique adds to the mounting pressure on the current administration to address these concerns as the country navigates through economic reforms and security challenges.
