The Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) has officially denied the authenticity of a list of successful candidates allegedly admitted into the academy that has been circulating widely on social media platforms.
In an official statement released on Monday, Major Mohammed Maidawa, the NDA's Public Relations Officer, categorically described the viral list as fake and confirmed it did not originate from the institution.
The disputed document, which gained significant traction online, purportedly contained names of successful and reserve candidates from the Armed Forces Selection Board 2025.
"The attention of the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) has been drawn to a fake list of successful and reserve candidates at the Armed Forces Selection Board (AFSB) 2025," Major Maidawa stated in the release.
"The general public is hereby advised to disregard this list as it did not emanate from the NDA," he emphasized.
The Academy has issued a clear directive on how prospective candidates can access legitimate information regarding admissions. According to the statement, "The authentic list shall be published in reputable national dailies and on the NDA website, nda.edu.ng, in due course."
This clarification comes as a warning to aspiring military officers and their families who might be misled by the unauthorized publication. The NDA's prompt response highlights the institution's commitment to maintaining transparency in its admission process and protecting candidates from potential fraudsters.
Prospective candidates are advised to rely solely on official channels for information regarding their application status and to exercise caution when encountering unverified lists on social media platforms.
